OUR HISTORY

From the marketing of spices, drugs and medicinal plants, the production of syrups and tonics first and then bitters, aperitifs, liqueurs and grappas followed over the years to become the proud company it is today.

Artisanal tradition and innovation allow the production of high quality products thanks to the search for natural raw materials such as mountain herbs and fruit juices from Trentino; this is why old manual presses are still used alongside modern steel tanks.

1906

L’Antica Erboristeria dott. Cappelletti

was founded in Trento in 1906 as a ‘company for the wholesale and retail sale of colonials’.

1920

Novasalus Elixir

He began working on his basic idea: to be able to bring the benefits of plants to those who did not want to engage in lengthy and difficult cures.

Thus by skilfully mixing herbs and their processing with macerates, decoctions and infusions, he succeeded in creating Elisir Novasalus

1969

New Plant

Production is transferred to the new factory in Ravina, on the outskirts of Trento. The years pass, Ferrante Cappelletti retires, leaving the company in the hands of his three sons.

1990

New Production

Production expands, and so alongside bitters are added Grappas, Liqueurs, Sweets, Brulè Bacchus….
